The Changing Trends in Agriculture

Bill Buckner, chairman of the board of directors for CropLife America (CLA) and president and CEO of Bayer CropScience, delivered the keynote address at the recent annual meeting of the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) where he spoke about the evolving mega-trends in agriculture. A growing world population, climate change, a need for alternative energy feedstocks, and additional consumer demands are all key issues impacting agriculture as we begin a new decade. CLA Chairman Buckner issued a call to action within the crop science industry to become even more proactive in responding to the new face of agriculture and forming a collective voice.
